White screen on startup

Hey guys so recently its been happening to me that if i shutdown my computer, upon start up (and after logging in) i will be taken to a pure white screen. This screen dissapears when i enter safe mod but comes back once i try to go into normal mode so i am at a loss.
I am a gamer, and it has normally only happens when playing a game and a graphic bug caused the computer to freeze, upon reboot i would get the white screen (in the past its been enough to start it in safe mode and then restart in normal mode). thank you

Sounds like the "Police" virus...what AV are you running ?

1) Can you reboot and get into the PC in safe mode?
2) Is there a second user account on that PC you can try to use? Usually this is an account specific virus.

If you can get logged in, run the following tools:
(This does not come with a warranty, you are responsible for any software issues caused by running any of these scans.) That being said, I work at an MSP and use these tools daily.

1) Download and run rkill: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/rkill/
2) Download and run MalwareBytes (note, do not install pro): http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/malwarebytes-a...
3) Download and run combofix (note, you will lose internet connection): http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/combofix/
4) Download and run tdsskiller: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/tdsskiller/
5) Scan your PC with your preferred AV software: I use AVG for personal computers and Kaspersky for work PC's, but you can use any AV software you have/like.

I had the same problem which I fixed easily. Just google alwaysafix
