Hi, first time post for me! sorry if this is a bit long, just want to try and explain the issue.
basically i have had several instances of bf4 and wolfenstein the new order crash on me lately. what happens is i am playing the game and it will just crash to a white screen. the computer will not be effected in any other way. i can hit the windows button on my keyboard and bring up my tab's go right back into steam and hit play and it will reload the game as normal and i can play again. it is not in any particular part of the game as in, its not an intensive fight scene with lots of graphics etc going on, just walking down a corridor or something and then white screen, have to close out of the tab and go right back into steam. i do have my games on the max settings though, but shouldn't be an issue with my setup.
here are my specs>
windows 7 64
asus z87-pro
2 x Sapphire r9 270x in x fire
crucial 512gb ssd
i7 4770k
850w modular thermaltake PSU
16gb memory

my cooling is fine, i have 2 monitors and use the second monitor to view hwmonitor for temps. the cpu temp whilst playing is usually 50-55c and the gpu temp never gets above 60-65, usually its in the low 50's. i have a h100 as a cooling system as well as some decent fans in a cm storm trooper case so the case is big and has plenty of air flow. so i am not thinking it is a temp issue. nothing has been over clocked, everything is totally standard. i have no 3rd party apps running anything in the background, i use ccc only. my drivers for the cards are the latest and windows is bang upto date. as this is my first build from scratch i am at a bit of a loss to where to start. when i updated ccc i just let it do its thing, i did not do a "clean install" of the drivers/update so not sure if that may be an issue at all? the computer is working fine other wise thankfully, just whilst gaming its starting to do the white screen freeze.

any suggestions?

appreciate the help
matt

ok, just happened again, black screen this time for around 5 seconds then a white screen. windows message popped up saying the program was not responding or something like that. event id states its a hanging issue......thinking about uninstalling the drivers and re-installing either fresh or going back to an earlier driver. has anyone got any ideas what this may be?...anyone?????

just reloaded ccc and rolled back the driver to 14.4 so i will see how that goes. surprised no body has posted any response with a possible solution. surely someone has an idea or had a similar thing happen? posted to 3 different forums this last 24 hours and not one response on any of them! didn't think this was such a unique problem.

appreciate the response. first thing i do is go on to toms hardware forum whenever i have any problems as this forum usually has most of the answers. i did a search on the white screen issue but could not see any "valid" cases where it was sorted out. i noticed people stating to check the visual C++ and to check if you had the latest direct x. Also to check if you had the latest drivers. As i said, i hadn't seen anything where someone had posted it was xyz that was the issue or change abc and it should fix it etc. i did check the visual C++ and the latest i have is redistributable 2012 x86 and x64 11.0 and my direct x is 11.

i uninstalled ccc and downloaded a driver sweeper(haven't used that before) and deleted all amd folders. i did not delete any other folders like ati etc, so wasn't sure if i should. rebooted, reloaded ccc to the earlier version, so i just need to go in and check to see if that made any difference.

if anyone has any suggestions to something i may have over looked i would really appreciate a reply.

thanks
matt
