Whither Sean Kelly?

Does anybody know if Sean Kelly is still in business or not? I ordered a
Vectrex multicart from him a few months ago, but haven't heard a word. I
can't imagine that a guy with as good a reputation as he has would be in
the middle of any funny business, so I just wanted to check and see if
anybody had news that maybe I wasn't aware of.

Anything shared is appreciated, thanks.

Sean is taking a very, very long time to process orders. Until he
posts here about the delay, I suggest holding off on orders from him.

I don't know if he's "in business" but today he's at Classic Gaming Expo in
Silicon Valley.

The only thing I've read is he's busy with his videogame store. I'll look
for the address and maybe you can call him.

I can live with that, although I think an eight month lag time is enough
to make anybody worry. Thanks for the independent confirmation, I know his
stuff is worth the wait.

Here is the address for his store, you should be able to get a phone number.

Yeah, he's been putting in 16 hour days, and working on CGE when
he has free time (ha ha!). Not an excuse exactly, but understandable.

Sean was working hard at the show! The same can be said of time spent at
his new store. Add those on top of his family and something has to give.
Kids need father as much or more as the Vectrex needs a multi-cart uncle.

If anyone has an outstanding order I will echo what had already been said
here many times, contact Sean at his store. He is a good sort. I am sure
Sean will make everything right with those who have a current open order.

For those who are wating for more carts and future orders, don't despair. I
hear more carts wil be available down the road. Possibly on eBay as direct
sales to knock down the absurd Vectrex mult-cart prices we have seen over
the last few years.

Anybody know what his store is like? Is there a lot of classic stuff
there or is it just newer generation items?

Norridge is about an hour away from me, just wondering if it's worth
the little road trip.

I don't understand why anyone would want the multi-cart which has a
static set of games when you can get the vecflash
(http://www.vectrex.biz/) which can have the same games and any future
games. BTW I'm not Richard, just a happy customer. Anyone care to
explain?

One Possible explanation is the simple lack of fuss on the user end.

No computer required. No programs to run. No ROMs to hunt down (yeah I
know they are easy to find!). No "VecFlash" 'ing the ROMs to memory. Just
plug and go.

And now some poeple think they are somewhat collectable. Not to mention
that others just don't know what the price was/is. They get on eBay and bid
like heel because it is there and it's easy.

The VecFlash/VecRAM and the Sean Kelly Multi-Cart have their places in the
Vectrex universe. Both are beautiful products on their own.

Just my thoughts on the matter.

He was very quick to email reply and I had zero probs, this was in
(grepping saved mail folders), wow, March 2001.

I hope you aren't being Tom Harkered (ICD CatBox for the Atari Jaguar).
I am sure some classics people can chime in with current intel.

I myself have not hit the gaming groups in MONTHS and months until
tonight, mostly sparked by the "new" Atari 7800 news :)

I assume he means the Atari Flashback console, which looks a bit
like a 7800 and has 20 (?) 2600 & 7800 games built in, similar to
the Jakks controller "TV Game Plug & Play" games.

Yeah, I saw the um, "big news" in GameDaily right after posting that -
didn't deem it necessary to post an "oh. Never mind"... (^_^)
