I am not satisfied with this game in anyway heres why:

I strongly understand this is still beta. It was not fun for the first
time I logged in, and was not fun when I logged off for the last time.
This game is nothing but a leveling grind and mind numbing. You do
absolutly nothing but kill bots and do trade missions left and right
space is too empty. The only way to level up when your no longer a low
level is to kill certain amount of high level bots which you have to
jump from system to system in order to find one bot to kill. Plus they
all fly in groups and you will get gang banged by all of them in no
time. Making money in this game is kind of quick along with dying
which you recieve no insurance when you die. This game is nothing but
a leveling grind, the emptyness, and the lack of things to do besides
running trade missions and killing bots.

Add the fact that someone running away from you they could simply
jumpout into a random sector and never catch them. A lack of jump
points makes it pointless to create blockades. You can go anywhere in
the system as well which makes traveling even more pointless. Go from
one wormhole to another in the same system in a short amount of time
is not a real method of space travel. If a person warps away from the
sector when it comes to being a preditor, how can you really tell
where he went?!? How about seamless in-system traveling instead??? Is
there any sign that the farther you warp from place to place, the
longer it will take to get there? I know Ion storms will stop that,
however they don't push it enough.

And for PvPing, the only thing you can do is, use the /duel command to
another person one way or another. Or go into those gray systems if
you wanted to PvP. Plus, you can't just take one player nation fleet
and raid another nation space.. Then the stupid def bots will
annihlate them. The beta veterans are told us that nation wars should
be taken in to unclaimed space, nation space should be place for
carebears only, period. As I said, you can't take your itani ship into
an enemy space or the uber def bots will shoot you down in no time.
Sure, you could take your Itani ship down to Neutrial space and kill
people like that but then again, the uber bots will come and get you
again. Once you die after going on a killing spree in NT space, you
can't come back there.

This game is like Descent, but without the cooridors. And descent was
supposed to be played with cooridors, not in open space. I also
complained about ships going too slow in space, they replied saying
that they could not make it go any faster than what it is right now
because the'll end up with pixelated battles which is a really really
lame reason why they made the ships speed slow and not like how ships
fly in starshatter. My suggestion for those who complain about ships
being a size of pixel dots in the next space game that comes out, my
suggestion, buy a new computer.

He may be completely right, but here's my take after playing for a grand
total of one hour:

1) The game is a small download (107Mb, if I remember right)
2) The production values are surprisingly good (although the music, while
decent, gets old fast)
3) I thought the tutorial was excellent (you advance it at your own speed
and it's well-paced)
4) Navigation is a snap (point and accelerate for close travel, wormholes
and simple, clear universe maps for far)
5. Controls are a snap and clearly explained (although the station screen of
the UI needs polishing)
6) Where the goddamn hell is my credit display?

I just did a couple of trade runs--one on my own for no profit (my bad), and
then one tutorial run to make a little money. On the tutorial run, I met up
with an armada of enemy ships who chased me into a wormhole, at which point
I escaped. I'm of two minds about this: on the one hand, I was happy that my
starting ship made it out alive. On the other, how much fun can PvP be if
(presumably) higher level ships can't even catch slow little ol' me? Oh,
well. Maybe they didn't want to or something. I'll definitely be finding
out, though, because I plan to play again. I found the game very enjoyable,
at least so far.
