why 4gb scandisk pen drive show 1 gb?

why 4gb scandisk pen drive show 1 gb? when i make ubuntu bootable of scandisk 4 gb pen drive,after formating the pen drive become 1 gb .why found 4 gb total space after formating? plz suggest @ mail to my email id m9993440254@gmail.com

Hi bk rajput.

This happens sometimes. What method did you use to format it? Try doing that via Disk Management if you haven't already. Also I'd recommend that you try formatting it via the manufacturer's "formatting tool" to see if this helps you resolve the issue. You could use a different computer and try again, just to see what results you get.
