Why am I blue-screening?

Ive played Steam games for awhile and had none/minor problems that had easy fixes. I recently bought BF4 and Ive had 2 bluescreens within 11 hours of gameplay. I played multiplayer last night for about 5 hours with no problems, but this morning I was alt+tabbing out A LOT (like every 15-20 seconds, also my first time bluescreening on multiplayer) and I blue screened after about 5-7 minutes. Prior to this incident I had 5-6 hours on the game(MP Only) with no problems AT ALL. I tried playing the campaign on Thursday and I blue screened immediately. I have Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit), knowing the game is better suited for 8, could not having 8 be the problem or causing a series of events to happen that eventually lead to the inevitable blue screen?
