Question Why am I getting really high temperature and also sudden FPS drops often on games?

I bought an Acer nitro 5 laptop back in October and was playing a couple games without issue, although it was running pretty hot, spiking up to 95 degrees sometimes, i would still never get FPS drops during that time but recently i have started getting FPS drops while having high fps 100+ it will suddenly drop down to 20 for no apparent reason for a few seconds then shoot back up, this is playing the same games that I had played previously with zero drops. I can only assume this is a cooling issue, what can i do to fix this?

Did you try cleaning all the vents with compressed or canned air?

What are you using to report temps?
Same game now as before, or different game?
What about GPU temps?

What are laptop specs: CPU? RAM?

I haven't yet but have been thinking of buying one to see if it makes any difference.
I'm using the program ''nitro sense'' that came with the laptop, it's the same game which was running perfectly fine before but is now having huge FPS drops for a few seconds. The GPU temps aren't as bad as the CPU ones.

RAM@ 8gb
