Why am I having FPS issues with my current setup?

So the games I play mostly are Terraria, TF2, CS, and some other source games. I used to be able to run all of these at 120 fps before, but now it crawls. Terraria usually can't get above 20, and TF2 hovers around 80, and I use a max frames graphics config.
My hardware is as follows: (on a laptop by the way)

Intel Core i7 4800MQ @ 2.70GHz generally runs around 60 degrees

24 GB DDR3 RAM, cant remember how it was configured, probably 2x8 + 2x4

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 765M usually 60+ on high load

stockish motherboard, not a name brand but the model number is W35xSTQ_370ST

I've only checked my drivers thru windows, not sure if I should check more thoroughly. The ventilation is clear, I clean it monthly.
Any other details you need I can definitely provide.
Also if you want to talk to me about it on steam add me here.
Thanks in advance

Recent, like I checked while playing those games, using speccy. I haven't changed any parts.
Idle:
CPU 60
GPU 45
MB 60
Gaming:
CPU 70
GPU 65
MB 70
These games shouldn't be that taxing, which is why I'm confused.
Viruses/Malware-wise, I run scans of malwarebytes every so often, anything else you recommend I should do?
