Question Why am i losing FPS?

I have a Pre built its a HP
Pavillion Gaming Pc
it is a pre built
The specs are
gtx 1650 super
ryzen 5 3500
16gb of ram
and i haven’t been using my pc lately but before i had 180 -240 fps . ( Fortnite and GTA) Now when i try to play a game i get 100 and under. I don’t know what to do
i unplugged all my parts and re did them and im just thinking its time to build a new pc or either just upgrade the cpu or gpu. I wanna know why tho am i experiencing the fps drops . (Hopefully someone finds an answer to my question).

First of all you should check if anything is overheating, CPU and GPU most importantly, because overheating can result in severe performance loss. Download MSI Afterburner, here are two good tutorials on how to use it and set it up ( 1 , 2 )load up some high demanding game and monitor the temps. If both CPU and GPU are going over 90C then its a problem. We can move on after you have resolved
