Why am I receiving 100% GPU usage and only 10 FPS?

Hello, I just got a new laptop and played some games on it to see how it works and it performed perfectly fine and everything was normal. However, today when I started plalying I was starting to get lower FPS (10-15) and when I checked the gpu usage, it was 100% while everything else was sitting pretty ok.
I have already scanned for viruses and found nothing, and I am pretty sure my specs can handle it, do you guys have any clue as to why this has started to happen?

I have a
GPU: 1050 ti (moblie)/intel integrated 620
CPU: i7 8750 H
RAM:8gb

is that GPU usage from the NVIDIA GPU or the INTEL GPU? Big difference.

Sometimes windows can go kookoo and run the igpu in high performance apps like games.

Yeah, that'll do it. Many-a-time have I spent half an hour trying to figure out why my framerate was capped to 30 and the thing was just unplugged.

a lot of laptop in the bios have setting to use the ipgpu on battery power not the nvidia one. change the power settings and you should be able to game til you kill your battery.
