[SOLVED] why amd doesn't suport windows 8.1 drivers?

i was thinking to buy rx570. then i find out that amd is not giving drivers for windows 8.1. then why they are still giving it for windows 7?

Windows 8.1 never had the user base that Windows 7 has. With official Microsoft support for Windows 7 ending in a month, I wouldn't be surprised to see AMD discontinue driver support for that as well.

Note: You can try and use Windows 7 or Window 10 drivers at your own risk.

the reason is simple. the user base for win 8 (and 8.1) is so small that AMD decides to ditch the support. i think you can still force to install win 7 or win 10 drivers though. but if there is any issues with it you will not going to see any fix for it.
