[SOLVED] Why are these identical memory kits priced so differently?

I am buying low profile RAM for a 3900x build with an NH-D15 and noticed these two 'identical' kits are priced almost £40 differently, and am wondering are they actually the same kit or have I missed something?

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B072FLG...olid=3K4IZJCZDOQM8&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B016ORT...olid=3K4IZJCZDOQM8&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it

I cannot figure out why the prices are different because as far as I can see they are both 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 @ 3200 MHz module kits!

Solution
The cheaper one is a single module being sold as stand alone. The more expensive one is a pair. I'm assuming the pair has been tested together to ensure it will run properly in dual channel mode.

You might save a few bucks buying 2 stand alone modules but they won't be guaranteed to work together in dual channel mode. That can become critical if you plan on overclocking your DRAM which you will have to do to get to 3200MHZ.

Ah thank you very much for such a quick reply! I will get the pair instead of the stand alone's as I have heard memory speeds are very important with Ryzen and actually achievable with Ryzen 3!!

I couldn't quite see the same thing, because the Amazon UK links redirected me to the US link for the product.

Still, they both say 2x16GB (at least when I try to view them), so I imagine they're both matched pairs. That's assuming the redirect didn't completely mess up.

Hmm that's very odd and yeah I couldn't find anything about them not being tested pairs on the cheaper links but I have to take the previous comment's word as I don't want to risk it!

Does changing .com to .co.uk in the url work?

Ah, yeah, I copy-pasted the links this time rather than clicking on them. The prices are much closer (when I tried before, it showed them as USD $391.99 and USD $161.99 respectively). That's why I thought the 1 stick vs 2 stick explanation might make sense.

The prices when I go to the UK version are £141.39 for the first one and £178.43 for the second one.

I suspect that the first one is less expensive because it's coming right from Amazon and says "Dispatched from and sold by Amazon", whereas the second one does not, so I believe it's 3rd party sellers.

Both of them have the 3200Mhz box highlighted, as well as the 2x16GB box highlighted.

The Amazon one also has free shipping. I would say given the much closer price, go with the cheaper one which is being sold by Amazon themselves - maybe the CMK32GX4M2D3200C16 vs CMK32GX4M2B3200C16 (D3200 vs B3200) means something? Not sure. Perhaps the latter one is no longer available so third party sellers are upping the price?

Did a quick search and the forums at Corsair suggest that the B and D are just revisions . . . A, B, C, D, etc.
