Why are x470 motherboards better than b450?

Hey guys. A friend of mine wants to upgrade his pc and he wants to know what is the difference between a x470 mobo and a b450 mobo except from more connections and stuff like that? I mean what are the technical differences(Btw he doesn't want to overclock). Thanks in advance.
