Question why arent my gpu fans running?

I just finished building my pc and the first thing I noticed is that everything is completely fine and works great except for the gpu (evga rtx 3060), it's fans don't run but it still shows image. To add on to that, when I tried to launch minecraft to see if the gpu did fine it crashed and said that I needed to update my driver but when I did a scan using Driver Booster it didn't show anything (neither did windows). Are these related and what can I do about them?

It's normal for the fans to be idle on the 2D desktop.

Did you try updating the driver directly from Nvidia?

And did you connect the extra PCIe power cables?

1: what’s a 2d desktop, I have a tower pc

3: yes, it’s the gpu cable that comes with the psu right?

1. I mean a two dimensional Windows desktop rather than a three dimensional game.

2. Try updating the driver direct from Nvidia. And try a fresh, clean install. I don't have an Nvidia card, so Google how to do that. Point is, you want the old driver uninstalled before the new one is installed.
