Question Why can I not set my xmp settings on my ram?

Asus Prime X470-Pro M/B
AMD Ryzen 2700x
corsair vengence rgb pro 3200 ddr4

I cannot for the life of me set my ram to the XMP-3200 settings

Ram Settings: 3200 16 18 18 36
stock motherboard settings: Freq 1064 15 15 15 36

I set them manually and by DOCP and both fail after rebooting and having to reset bios to stock settings.

Ryzen can be picky with RAM.... I assume your kit does not appear on the QVL for the motherboard at the 3200MHz speeds?

Might work if you manually loosen timings a bit.

One or 2 sticks ? Do you have them in right slot(s)? A2 and B2. Which BIOS version ? 4207 seems to work best.

2 sticks
a2 and b2 yes, closest to processor and 2 over for the second one

I just double checked and looked at mine, that's not right, it should be second from CPU and last one. 2nd and 4th.
