Hey guys, I built my own computer a while back. My current set-up is as followed:

i5-3470 cpu
8gb ram
GTX 660
ASrock z77 pro-M
Using a TV as my monitor (samsung LN32D)
Using HDMI connection

Heres my issue, I can't seem to get my resolution to 1080p. My recommended resolution is 720p, 1360X768 to be exact. When I do change it to 1080 it, the whole screen is off balance, the icons are too small and out of the screens' lines. All of my other devices seems to be able to connect to 1080 such as ps3, ps4, blu-ray player, and cable box. Whats my resolution? Thanks in advanced.
Also I do have drivers updated for the 660.

Solution
I looked it up on Samsungs website, and your TV has has a 1360 x 768 resolution natively.
Using a resolution other than that will give you worse image quality, which is particularly evident when looking at the windows desktop. When watching games and movies, where everything moves around you are not so likely to notice, so watching a 1080p movie is probably just fine.

In the manual they recommend you set the Picture Size to "Screen Fit". (MENU button → Picture → Screen Adjustment → Picture Size )
