Why can't I change position on my 22" LCD LG-226WTY?

When I push the button on the monitor, the options to resize and move the screen are greyed out. I need to adjust the screen a bit but I can't!

My roommate has the LG-226WTQ and even though I THINK his picture quality is worse (could be his videocard), he can at least edit/stretch/move his screen!

Anyone? I'm at wit's end!

Those options should only be available when connected to the analog D-sub connection on the GPU.
