Why Can't I Edit My Posts?

(Sorry if this has been asked before, but I couldn't find it in a search.)


Whenever I try to edit one of my posts, to correct trivial errors, I get a message saying that I am not authorized to do so. I notice that other posters sometimes remark upon this behaviour. Am I being really stupid and doing something wrong?

I actually have the same problem, I cant edit my posts so I have to chain post if I post something stupid and wont to change my remark or whatever.

I get the error occasionally, seems to depend on what forum I'm in. The quick edit seems to work all the time though.
