The radio channel may have changed. Many routers when they get rebooted will try to select what it thinks is the best channel to use based on what other wifi devices say from your neighbor it detects. It has no ability to tell if that channel actually works better or not. Some houses block certain radio frequencies more than others.
You can manually set the channels in most routers. You also should use 2.4g if you are having signal level issues rather than 5g. It tends to have better coverage in many houses. Unfortunately 2.4g also has lots of people using it. WiFi is a trial and error process that you have to repeat from time to time since your neighbors are also changing their channels which can cause random issues for you.
