Question Why can't i get higher than 144fps? I have an 144hz monitor, but it still caps at 144. Help PLS!!

If you're outright capped at 144Hz (ie can't get any higher, even turning down settings), then you either have an adaptive sync technology enabled, or the title in question is capped to 144Hz

I do have a g-sync monitor. I dont understand why it caps though. I got this computer like 2 months back and i was getting around 500-1000fps on every game i was playing. Now i am just getting the 144.

Then you likely have G-Sync enabled in the Nvidia control panel.

G-Sync will.... well, sync your frames with the refresh rate of the monitor.
