[SOLVED] Why cant i get over 165 fps on gta v?

CPU:
-AMD Ryzen 7 2700
Storage:
-Intel 660p 512GB M.2 SSD
Case:
-NZXT H500 Black
Ram:
-Ballistix Sport LT DDR4 16GB
Power Supply:
-Corsair TX550M, 550W PSU

With these specs and even the lowest settings, i can get max 130 fps on gta v online. Why is this? Is it something the settings?

Can you post up your Nvidia 3d settings, full page. And what monitor are you using? And just for info what motherboard?

Its a cpu limitation, GTA V is fairly cpu heavy. The cpu determines the best fps you can achieve, the gpu determines what resolution and settings you can achieve that fps at.

I know that my nvidia 3d settings are fine

I looked up gtv5 with your set up and 165 is blazing fast for that game. AT ultra settings 132fps is the average frame rate. So you are doing very well at 165fps.
