Why can't I install Windows 8, 8.1 or even Win 10 on my system?

Hi all.

I'm in need of help, and don't really know what to do now - i've tried everything.
My problem is, I can't seem to install Windows 8, 8.1 or Windows 10 preview on my system. The PC freezes randomly - sometimes it's during Windows configuration (after format and extraction of windows files), sometimes I get the system running for an hour or so.

When the system freeze, it's not possible to press ctrl´+alt+delete - I have to hard reset the machine.

My specs are:
MB: MSI P55CD53
CPU: Intel i5 750
RAM: 8GB Kingston HyperX
GPU: MSI GTX660TF

- I've tried installing on 2 different SSD's, with same result.

Solution
guess there are a few things I would check.
you have a kind of old motherboard, Update the BIOS to get the current version or reset the BIOS back to defaults and make sure you don't have any overclocking selected. Then disable a hardware device and re enable it in BIOS, save the setting and reboot.

if you are using solid state drive, if you format the drive, Wait 15 or 20 mins before you attempt to install the operating system.
(also check to see if you have firmware updates to apply to your SSD drive, this sounds like a SSD firmware bug that people had on the first and second generation SSD )

after you get the drive and windows to boot. Apply the chipset drivers drirectly form intel (get microcode fixes for the cpu), and update...

Do you directly install the windows
???
TRY THIS
with windows 10 if you're on an iso then download this
- http://rufus.akeo.ie/
then using this software add the files to any USB
then restart your PC (do not remove the USB)
then a button for BOOT should be there press the aligned key repeatedly
boot options will appear
select your USB drive then the setup will start
then you shouldn't face any problem

The thing is, it's not a problem creating the bootable USB stick, booting it and formatting / installing windows 8. The problem occurs after Windows has been installed, and the system reboots.

have you tried all win 8 , 8.1, 10 on your pc

it sounds to me that it might be more of a hardware issue if it is happening on every install and intermittently. I would recommending checking your hard drives for faults and also having your ram tested. And also check for any fans that are not working in the system, as it could also be an overheating issue.

It's not my hard drives or RAM that's failing - i've tried with 2 different SSD's, and I have no problems when running Win 7.
It's not a overheating issue, since I have liquid cooling on my CPU, and my system never goes over 60C (140 degrees)

Oh my!!!!! Please tell me if you have an answer! This is exactly what happened to my computer after trying to install Windows 10. Even though it acts like its hardware, it seems to have started when installing Win 10 tech preview. It's as though it's written something to the bios that prevents installs. It's really weird. I had no problems with installations either. Please let me know what you found out!

Your machine is of a generation where a lot of bugs were in the sata controller, be sure to update the drivers.

anyway that is all I can think of that would cause the symptoms.
