Why cant I overclock my ram?

I just bought 8gb of extra ram for my pc. Before this i had 3000mgz overclock on my ram. now i cant get it past 2400mgz. It will give me an error about driver failour and the path to the driver.

I have flashed my bois with the newist driver for asus. Does my motherboard support this over clock or is there another way?

Memory bought in unmatched pairs is not guaranteed to work together. Try experimenting with the clocks, run them at the highest freq they can run on together, you may have already figured out this is 2400MHz

The ram is the same company, both exactly the same.

I have them at 1.35 voltage. i may have to bum up the voltage.

In that case you might have to be satisfied with 2666MHz tops. That's processors "natural" IMC frequency.

I bought the 3000mgz ram tho, shouldn't i be able to run in that advertised speed?

My mother board is also advertised to run at those speeds. Maybe I cant run 4 ram slots at that speed?

That's limitation with processors with single IMC (Internal Memory Controller) with 2 memory channels, it's difficult/impossible to run at higher speeds when all channels are used. Only server CPUs are good at that, problem is not limited to Ryzen or AMD only but all processors including Intel.
Get 2x8GB sticks and you'll get your full speed out of them.
