I've had this problem repeatedly with Windows 8 where the game will not print screen, I get what's open behind the game instead. When I print screen emulators they're fine, games are not

Or I get something several minutes behind what's actually happened

I swear I used to be able to, I print screened Far Cry 3 this way when I built my computer (unless I used Fraps then too) over a year ago

it is because the game is using the video-adapter’s hardware overlay [1] [2][3] (not to be confused with software overlays like those of Steam, Fraps, etc.) This is a special buffer (surface for DirectX games) that software can write to which provides hardware acceleration. By nature, it is just a simple (usually near-black) rectangle that the video-adapter fills in with the output image in hardware. As a result, Windows does not have access to the rendered image, and so its PrtScr handler cannot capture it. This is the same for video-players that use hardware acceleration.

Just a quick question, trying to figure out where to put my temperature probe (NZXT Sentry 3). My fan is already mounted (Hyper 212 Evo) and I moved the probe to the metal block that contacts the CPU, but I'm still getting a reading 10 degrees plus out from the board's readout when gaming. It's climbing slowly, but it's still wildly inaccurate. Should I place it on the copper piping itself (really don't want to remove the cooler and have to reapply thermal paste)?

My temps are no higher/lower than before, but inaccurate reading from the Sentry
