Why can't I set my monitor in 1366x768?

Hello everyone.

Recently they changed at my workplace my old 1024x768 monitor for a samsung S19D300HYCZB which has a maximum resolution of 1366x768.

But I can't set it to that resolution. I'm currently using at 1024x768

I think that it's because I don't have installed my mobo's drivers, since when I open the resolution options it says that it's connected to a "standard VGA GPU"

But I CAN'T FIND my mobo's driver anywhere

Also, I don't know if that is actually the issue.

My specs

gigabyte ga-ep43t-ud3l
intel dual core pentium, 2700 mhz
windows 7 32 bit

What do you think?

It's the mobos's missing driver? or something else?

Thnaks in advance!!

The motherboard doesn't even have any built-in GPU ports, so your monitor must already be connected to a PCI or PCI-E GPU.

You need to install the manufacturer's driver package for that GPU (from their website) as currently it's using Microsoft's default VGA driver which doesn't support resolutions higher than 1024 x 768.

Rather strange you didn't think to include in the system specs the one component which is the most relevant to your problem - - the graphics card model - -

According to my pc, it's a ATI Radeon HD 5450

Does it support 1366x768 resolution?

It's solved! I installed the 15.7.1.

Now my monitor is set to its native resolution of 1366x768.

Thank you very much!

Sorry for taking so long to reply, the extreme bureaucracy of my workplace demands that all software must be installed by technicians only.

Thanks again!
