Question Why can't my disk manager recognize my SSD but my device manager can?

My device manager recognizes my SSD and claims its working fine but my disk manager does not recognize it to even allow me to partition it. I have already tried a few of the "standard" fixes to other threads here that seem close to the same issue with no luck.

what motherboard do you have?
if it's old enough, it will need to be manually adjusted in the BIOS to use AHCI for the SSD that is connected, otherwise, the SSD won't work.

Also, if that doesn't work, you can try updating the BIOS.

Also, also, depending on what SSD you have, it may need drivers to be installed for it before it'll work properly.
