Why cant my Gateway GT5654 read SD/MMC card?

PC has built in SD card slot but it doesn't recognize the card at all - I tried 1GB and 2BG cards

Try reloading the driver for it from Gateway's support site.

thanks - I will try that. But meanwhile I bought an USB card reader. Gloria
