Why cant my hp pavilion g6 pc boot

hie guys, my hp pavilion g6 wont boot from any of the cds i have, my Cds boot from any pc but mine. i really need to get rid of this home premium version help

There are a few possibilities here;
1) your optical drive is not available on your boot list. Can be changed in BIOS
2) the optical drive data cable is loose/disconnected. Check cables - check if any CD's run
3) Drive may be faulty. Replace drive
Those are the first that come to mind, if/as I think of more I'll add those
