Why dayz standalone lags

I have amd fx 4300
6gb ram
Evga gtx 660 ftw
700 watt psu
I get 15 fps then 60 fps then 15 again and it's annoying. Is it my computer or is it just because it's alpha and poorly optimized?

Easiest way to tell is try another game. Smite, Lol anything else really.

see if it happens in those also.

dayz standalone is at alpha state at the moment without any perfomance patches and so on
wait until they developers hit the first stable release ;-)

I have an i5 and a 660ti and I can barely play at medium.
