Question Why did I have to reinstall the drivers?

I recently got a GTX 750 Ti to replace my GT 630. It is based on the same microarchitecture so I would guess it would need the same drivers, right?

Note: I downloaded new drivers for the 750 Ti. This question is to know why I had to.

If there is a specific driver for it then you need that specific driver
