Why did MS Make WOS 11 Inescapable with WOS 10?
What?
It's completely escapable. You don't have to upgrade.

Click on "Stay on Windows 10".

Ah, now I understand the question. I've never seen anyone use WOS instead of just Win10 or Win11. 🙄

Win11 is inescapable on platforms capable of supporting it for two reasons...
  1. Win10 reaches end of life in October 2025 and you'll have to pay to receive updates after that date.
  2. Windows, both 10 and 11, are the property of Microsoft not you. You only pay for a license to run them. The EULA you explicitly accept at install time requires you to accept all updates that Microsoft issue, since it's their software. Upgrading a capable platform from Win10 to Win11 is simply one of those required updates.

Google for WOS led me to watchOS and Words of Solomon.
Not Windows.

The common short name would be Win10 and Win11.

You can defer upgrading to Win 11 as long as you like.
It will continue to nag you, though.

Remember, Win 10 falls off support Oct 2025.
