Hello.
OK. I hooked up my pc via hdmi running from my graphics card to my avr sony str dn840. I got my avr running two xfinity tower speakers and two subs. Sound amazing.......BUT......
when i first hooked up my avr to pc via gpu everything was great. I hooked up the hdmi into the game port on the avr and i could listen to youtube games etc. the default sound was the realtek hd audio. Now after i updated my gpu yesterday...now the default is the sony avr nvidia hd audio. so in other words nvidia driver update changed it. Why?
when i go to make the realtek the default again there is no sound. it only works on the sony nvidia hd audio BUT it does not sound as good as the realtek. How do i fix this?
is there an audio program (free) that i can use that maybe comes with surround, equalizer etc?
OR is the nvidia gpu audio better than the realtek one?
what are these thxhelper0527, 051a and 22ad in my start up?
