Why do gamers dont like wireless mice?

I was wondering why gamers are not too fond of wireless mice? i am using a old logitech mouse (not gaming), and it works fine, if not great for Fps, Rpg, and Mmo games.

It works, but cost more for batteries, and the signal isn't going to be as fast as a wired mouse.

Note: I use a wireless mouse and it's perfectly fine.

For truly competitive play, the wireless signal pales in comparison to the signal coming from a wire. Gamers need precision and the miniscule lag associated with wireless mice is a deal breaker for some.

There's just not really a compelling reason to get a wireless mouse for a desktop machine that makes it worth the extra cost, the batteries, and the worries about signal issues. USB cables just don't bother most of us very much.

generally gamers do not like wireless mice since they need to be recharged and can go dead while playing, if you leave them alone for a few seconds they go into sleep mode and because some mice have a bit of lag on wireless.

being someone who has played competitively using both wired and wireless mice i can say that either can be used perfectly fine. the biggest gripe i had with wireless was the mouse turning off and then taking a split second to turn back on when the mouse was stationary for more than a few seconds. otherwise... it worked fine.

There's slight input delay with wireless, maybe not noticeable, but every little bit of lag adds up. It takes something like 200ms to respond to something, even 20ms will add to that.

Most gaming mice have more features like lights that take battery, so it will run out faster. If your mouse dies, you're screwed, you just lost the game (depending on the game, but there aren't many games that you can just stop playing for a minute or two while you get some batteries).

Most companies don't make wireless gaming mice, if they do, it's just one or two specific ones, and they usually cost $30 more than wired.
