All my in game settings are on low in the video section. I play on 1366 x 768 resolution. So low resolution, and low settings should give me higher FPS. I am not sure why i get low FPS. (170-200) with the GPU that I have.
I used to get the same FPS with a GeForce GTX 550Ti.
Can someone please tell me why I get low FPS?

Thanks a lot

PC Specs:
PSU: Cooler Master 750V Semi Modular

Motherboard: ASUS M5A97

yes, you have probably the worse amd cpu for gaming barring a dual core

also at such low resolutions the gpu is removed as the bottleneck, the cpu becomes the fps limiter

thats the reason you have the same fps either with a 970 or your old 550 ti

you cant just add a better gpu and hope for better fps when the rest of your system is not up to the task

gtx 970 is overkill for 1366 x 768.
Did you activate it after you changed it?
Here's how:
Click Start and then Control Panel. ...
Double-click NVIDIA Control Panel.
Click View and next Add "Run with graphics processor" Option to Context Menu. ...
Right-click the application title and select Run with graphics processor.

Thanks for taking your time to reply. I can't find the "View" thing in the Nvidia Control Panel. Where is it located?
I have View rating for games, and View HDCP status.

Yeah thats what I thought as well. I bought the PC premade online. It was at a very good price when I purchased it. Its been about 5 years so time to upgrade that CPU :)
