Why do I get pow game fps when my monitor is plugged directly into the motherboard?

Since my dvi has started causing me trouble I plugged my monitor straight into my motherboard. Since then ive been getting horribly low fps in games. How do I fix this?

Because your integrated GPU is far weaker than your discrete GPU.

Is there any way of going around this? My monitor stopped detecting my dvi-i.

What mobo? You might just have to get an adapter to use another port.

Your mobo does support virtu so just install that and you can use your dgpu through your igpu.
