[SOLVED] Why do I have low fps?

I recanted upgrade my pc and have noticed that my pc has still been getting low frames on most games. Most games I can run on towards to lowest settings with 60 fps but feel that with my build it should be much better. I have the following
GPU: Msi 2070 armor (I've overclocked)
CPU: Amd ryzen 5 2600 (I've also overclocked) (stock cooler)
Ram: 2x4gb ddr4 2400
MBD: Gigabyte x470 aorus gaming

What resolution? What games?

Is the gpu driver up to date? What are your CPU and GPU temperatures when gaming?

1920x1080, pubg, rainbow six siege, fortnite, cod bo4, my drivers are up to date. And idk how to check the temperatures

Slow RAM and only 8gb of it. Unfortunately nowadays 16gb(2x8gb) RAM is the norm. And for Ryzen you want to be at least 3000mhz for speed.

You can monitor your temperatures with a program like MSIAfterburner or HWMonitor. You should not be overclocking anything if you are not monitoring temperatures, this is extremely important.

While your RAM is loosing you performance you should still be getting more than 60 FPS.

did u clean install windows after your upgrade? or just reused it and only updated drivers?
