Why do most ladies fear technical

Then can you tell me why my female supervisor is a server admin AND network engineer with the years of experience and certifications to back it up?

Gentlemen (and ladies, if any)

We are talking in general here. In NASA 1/3rd staff is female, but then again, why only 1/3rd.

Only few of the women choose to be technical as compared to men. This is as much true as only few women drivers are good.

This is only because of the very perceptions and tastes women carry about themselves. (Again in general) women want to do things or related things which they have been doing since the evolution of civilized worlds, such as Nursing, home care, raising kids (not that men are not involved here) etc. So MASS women still follow the same attitude. You ask them about a diamond ring and they will tell you the brands, the shine of which is better, prizes, international rates etc. However you ask them to choose a cellphone not because of its looks but its features, they blink their beautiful eyes.

Women can be technical, just that they themselves think it is tuf and fussy for them.

Okay, if you want to keep it in Computer related stuffs only, then I would say we can find a better % of women as compared to any field but IMO it still be 40% more or less. The reason we have a better statistics here is Women also play games these days and that PC/Lapies are used by everybody.

I mentioned earlier as well, and would request again if moderators are watching (which they always), could they filter out the female members and shows us in some graphical form how much do they number?

Well it could be the female is smarter than the male and has learned that most of the technical courses and fields are inhabited by functional idiots who think they are superior to everyone.

Then the woman comes along, marries the f.i., divorces him and has half of his assets and income.

You can only understand your own limits once you realize how dumb you really are...

Ok stop trying to make this a logical debate because there is no logic to be had in your argument. Women are just as capable of these jobs as men are and do just as well in them when they apply themselves like men do. As I said before, there are more women in my IS department than men, and I can say that for many other IT departments I've worked for. This thread is full of morons who have not yet gone out into the real world and seen just how wrong they are about this sort of thing. Get off your high horse. You are not better.

not every body is lucky like you.. this is the debate all about. :bounce:

It's not a matter of luck. I'm an average tech guy working in an average IT department making average pay for an average job.

' average ' is a relative term my friend.

Regardless, I don't see how "luck" has anything to do with this at all. Seems like everyone here is just trying to look for excuses to justify their bigotry.
