Hi!
So I recently upgraded my computer. After much frustration I was able to migrate my old OS to my new motherboard using Paragon Adaptive Restore. Now everything seems to work fine.
However, all this announced to me that my computer can not boot from the ssd that houses my win7 copy (get NTLDR is missing), but can only boot from my old hard disk with xp. This gets me to the page where I can choose the older version (xp) or windows 7. Everything proceeds fine from there on.
What I think is happening is that for some reason the win 7 ssd is not recognized as bootable, so my computer bots xp from my old hard drive, which then immediately notices win 7 on the other disk and lets me choose which version to use. This has likely been the case ever since I installed windows 7.
So the question is: why do I have to boot into xp before I can choose windows 7?
How can I make my win 7-containing ssd bootable (for when my old xp-containing hard disk finally gives up on me)?
