Why does everyone say that the i5-4440 is better than that FX-6300?

I asked this question earlier and everyone told me that the i5 performs much better but when I watch videos on YouTube, the FX-6300 performs better in games when coupled with the same Graphic Card, on same resolution and same settings.
Example: I just watched Assassin's Creed Syndicate on
FX-6300 + GTX 750 Ti 2GB @1080p high settings, it gave around 40+ FPS.
i5-4440 + GTX 750 Ti 2GB @1080p high settings, it gave around 35+ FPS.
Can somebody explain this? I am getting and FX-6300 + GTX 750 Ti 2GB at almost the same price of the i5-4440 alone(both used). Can someone help me make a choice. Also, I'm not looking to upgrade anything at least for the next 5 years neither will I be overclocking anything.

The problem with the FX series is that their performance is inconsistent. In games which can effectively use all of their threads, they do well. Most of EA's games are well-threaded, and therefore run well on FX chips:

Most console ports and games from smaller developers are not as well threaded, and perform terribly on FX CPUs:

The other factor is that FX CPUs are far more power hungry. This isn't important to many, but...
If those are your 2 choices I'd at a push punt for the 6300.

The i5 is undoubtedly stronger single core wise , the 6300 has an extra 2 threads.
You're trading one for the other & it's guesswork which will fare better in 3 years time.
With a 750ti you won't really see a difference between them, the 750ti is weaker than either.

They're both dead sockets now so there's no argument there , although as far as I know the fx chips & am3 boards are actually still in production

Do you know what motherboards are being sold with these ??
