Question Why does Gpu and Mem clocks drop to 0

While gaming Gpu clock and memory clock drop to 0 Mhz according to Aorus engine. the screen freezes but OS and game doesn't crash! Music and game sounds still play as normal. What can cause this ?

GPU Gigabyte GTX 1070 G1 Gaming 8Gb
RAM 8 Gb

I am using a COOLERMASTER MASTERWATT 650
and the GPU temperatures are at a comfortable 43-65 C

Check Event Viewer time and see if any errors pop up in the log during the time of the freeze.

also check your temperatures. sounds like some throttling
this can be caused by power supply, software configuration or thermal throttling. check cpu temps while playing.

Open up event viewer and click the system tab. Take a look at the errors within the list and see what errors post up and share the image on here.

That was my first thought when I encountered the problem and found my CPU temps at 39-55 C which is quite normal

Which basically means that all parts of my pc and even my home electricity supply could be the reason … nice !
