Why does my C Drive suddenly becomes full?

Hi, I recently noticed my c drive becomes lesser in free memory. Then i got a warning saying there is no free space on c, therefore I deleted a couple of videos i had in the fraps folder. Then there were around 300mb free. Now all of a sudden it has decreased to 40Mb free. I did not install any program. I also scanned woth avast, but there were no harmed files.
There is a file called debug 1214 on the c suddenly too (i deleted it)

any clue?

How large is the drive? There are many things that use up drive space, downloaded Windows Update files, temp files, temp web files.

How large is your swap file on the drive and how much RAM do you have? Also check your web browser temporary folder size, that can often be lowered.

Use ccleaner to clean up a lot of space that temp files take.
