why does my computer shut dodwn whenever a video runs?

whenever a video runs on m laptop my computer shuts down, says there was an error, it is collecting data and will restart momentarily. Then it restarts. Why?

What kinds of video? Flashed based like youtube the try updating Flash player at adobe.com

Try updating the codecs. I recommend K-lite codec pack
