[SOLVED] Why does my CPU do this?

Hello everyone, in December i got an i5 8600k. I overclocked to 4.5GHz. But few days ago (like 4-5) it started doing this. When i watch a youtube video, sometimes it just lags for 2 seconds and then it plays normal again. Did i overclock my voltage wrong or something?

If you drop the overclock or remove it does it still do that?

Hey, I realised it might be because my browser (Opera) is in Details, the priority on some is Low and on some others Normal, may that be case and if so, how can i make it not be on low but on normal?

Did you try other browsers? I have not heard much from Opera as far as updates or bugs go. It's is a very marginally used browser now.

Could be a network issue also, try rebooting your router and modem, maybe test things using an ethernet cable if you are on wireless.

Im on Ethernet and it never happened before, what should i type in BIOS to reset my overclock do Stock? instead of 45 i just type Auto?

Check your WiFi, if that doesn’t work don’t overock your cpu.

Depends on how the program is setup, there is really no need to mess with things outside of their default state.

If you reset the BIOS to defaults it will remove the overclock.
