Yo, I've never posted on this site before but I've run into an issue. I recently started streaming and its going well. I have streamed a few different games and everything has been fine, the most notable being Rainbow Six: Siege. The other day I decided to stream Valorant, but when I got in game I noticed my game was running similar to like I was playing on 60hz... a little laggy. My ping was fine and the chat said the stream came through smoothly with no issues, but on my end it was difficult to play because of this. I've looked up the issue I'm having and have found nothing that helps. Not sure if this is the right place to post about this issue but I'm not sure where else to go. It is also confusing because I stream R6 perfectly with no issues, and I would assume that R6 is a tougher game to stream than Valorant. Any and all help is appreciated, thank you :)

Specs-
GPU: Sapphire 5700 XT
CPU: R5 3600
MB: Asus ROG Strix B450-F
RAM: Vengeance RGB 16 GB DDR4
PSU: RM 750x
I'm Streaming through StreamLabs at 720p, 60 fps and video bitrate 6000, which are the "auto optimize" settings SteamLabs setup.

Solution
Well 60Hz is nothing slow. "Unplayable" is certainly a little rude to us poor folks. Also it's rude to those who aren't PCMasterrace. Xbox One and PS4 play at 60fps. Anyways, lets step aside from that passive aggresive comment. I'd look through valorants settings to find some sort of optimizing setting(maybe with streaming). If R6 is fine(and valorant while not streaming) I'd assume it's some sort of weird setting causing issues. Look in the Radeon Adrenaline for the settings profile for valorant and compare it to your r6 settings profile(assuming you don't have them set on default).

Shouldn't be an issue with hardware, I'd assume it's software related

I hope this is a joke. It’s not rude at all. People perceive things differently. You enjoy what you have and are used to, he enjoys what he has and is used to. I tell my “console peasant” friends that 30 fps is unplayable and I could never play like that, and they don’t get offended.

Was this your first time streaming Valorant? What I’m getting at is, did you stream it before without issues and the issue started out of no where, or was that your first Valorant stream and the issue was present right off the bat? Also, you said it feels like 60 hz. This may sound stupid, but did you actually check what your fps was? Perhaps vsync is on? I know Valorant has a few different individual v sync options for the game, such as separate options for menus and in game. Personally, I wouldn’t waste my time going through the radeon settings; highly doubt anything in there would help.

Well obviously I'm not beinh serious about that. I'm not offended at all, some people can really notice the difference between 60fps and 120fps. At 144hz/120hz is when it starts to ceiling off.

Make sure you are using game capture instead of desktop capture.

If you’re using game capture, delete it and add it again.

Also make sure that in game you selected 144hz with your desired resolution.
