[SOLVED] Why does my Google Chrome have high cpu usage?

When I start my computer, Google chrome have a high cpu usage (around 60%), but it does nothing when I press end task on the task manager, chrome still work fine, when i press go to file location, it brings me to chrome.exe.

This is on Windows 10.

Any help?
 
Solution
Try disabling "hardware acceleration" on the settings and see if it has any impacts, in which case maybe you should update the graphics driver.
When Chrome is opened, press Shift + ESC keys to open Chrome task manager (Not Windows Task Manager) to see what processes/tabs chrome is busy with.

You can try:
  • Doing a malware scan
  • Running Chrome in disabled extensions mode
  • Removing suspicious Chrome apps or extensions
  • Running Chrome Clean-up tool

It says the gpu process is taking my cpu, but it's back and forth, sometimes the browser is taking the cpu also (around 5% -6%). And it still taking 80% of my cpu
