Question Why does my graphics card not fit into the PCIE x16 slot?

While building my PC I ran into the problem of my GPU not slotting into the slot on the motherboard. The parts should be compatible and now I'm incredibly confused

There's only so much that can be said with text that we need to use other methods of communication in order to get the message across. In your instance, we'd benefit from more information in the form of images and a video of what's impeding your installation and /or how you're installing the part into the build.

The info you gave us is not enough in order to give any advice on the matter, let alone a solution.

Found out it was just a cover and that I am an actual idiot
