Why does my GTX 970 card won't get display sometimes?

-Connected directly to motherboard's vga output with GPU inserted in PCIE slot gets no display too. I removed the GPU, then mobo's vga display output will work.

-I tested this GPU on my friend's rig without having any issues at all, so I'm quite sure that GPU is not the issue here. Could it be the motherboard?

-Tried to use other Monitors and cables then same issues.

Also, I noticed that the bios wasn't updated since 2013 and the most recent bios is 2015. Will it get fixed if I update the bios?

Thank in advance! :)

That's your problem.

By clearing the CMOS you reset your motherboard to use the Integrated Graphics processing unit.
BIOS > Advanced > System Agent config > Graphics config > Primary Display > PCIe
