Question why does my i5-8250u show 1.8ghz

I bought an acer A315-53G-52JZ in my system information it says i5-8250u @1.6ghz 1.8ghz when it should be 3.4 instead of 1.8. how do I increase the max to 3.4.

it's showing 1.6GHz because that's the base frequency for the processor. Max turbo speeds are dependent on the app's on your laptop that will need that extra oomph though please keep in mind that not all cores will run at that speed.

so it will run on 3.4ghz when such performance is needed?
