Why does my internet keep disconnecting?

Hello, I have a modem and a router attached and it works great but just randomly it will lose connection. I just restart the modem and router. But it happens 1-3 times a week and would like to know why?

To clarify, do you mean your 'wireless' drops internet? Or do you mean even connecting with a wired connection to the router your 'lose internet'? If it is the latter answer, that is your service provider which is having problems and you should check with them when it goes out? If it regularly goes 'out' (even when wired into the router) as was a previous problem with Cable Internet (just like Cable TV would go 'out' occassionally) services, you may want to consider a different internet provider.
