Why does my keyboard skip letters?

Hello,
My keyboard works but it often skips letters or fails to space. My 60 wpm typing goes to about 30wpm because I have to backspace and add letters.

Is it a wired or wireless keyboard ? If wireless try adjusting the position of the receiver or moving it closer to the keyboard --- could be interference on that wireless channel. Also make sure the batteries on the Keyboard are fully charged so the signal strength is at optimum.
